The First General Assembly of INN Held

The First General Assembly of the Inter-Islamic Network on Nano-Technology (INN) was held, hosted by the Iran’s Materials and Energy Research Center (MERC).

According to the Public Relations, during this meeting, attended by ambassadors and representatives of Islamic countries as well as a representative of COMSTECH, the statute of INN was approved by the members, with nine Islamic countries joining as founding members.

The member countries of this network include Iran, Afghanistan, Türkiye, Malaysia, Pakistan, Tunisia, Somalia, Palestine, and the Comoros. Moreover, Iran, Türkiye, Malaysia, Somalia, and Palestine were elected as members of the Executive Committee. In addition, the Executive Committee is tasked with preparing the roadmap and programs of INN.

Notably, the INN Network is an international platform for leveraging the power of science and technology to support inclusive empowerment. The Network strives to provide a dynamic platform for countries to achieve growth, progress, and a knowledge-based economy by fostering collaboration between elites, professors, researchers, universities, research institutes, and knowledge-based companies.

This international platform is one of the thirteen scientific networks affiliated with COMSTECH, and it is hosted by the MERC under the MSRT of Iran.
