With the aim of expanding cooperation in science and technology, the Secretary of the Inter-Islamic Network on Nanotechnology (INN) visited the Al-Karkh University of Science in Iraq (KUS).
According to the Secretariat, Dr. Abolhassan Imani, Secretary of the Inter-Islamic Network on Nanotechnology (INN), met with Dr. Juma Salman Jiyad Faraj, Chancellor of the Al-Karkh University of Science in Iraq (KUS), and presented an overview of the programs, vision, and laboratory capacities of Iran’s MERC and INN.
Discussions focused on accelerating the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between INN and KUS, particularly in the areas of faculty and student exchange, organizing nanotechnology training workshops, and conducting and expanding joint laboratory research projects for Iraqi students and researchers, with the goal of fostering innovation and strengthening modern research.
The event, attended by Dr. Shaker Hajati, Deputy for Research and Postgraduate Studies at MERC, also addressed ways to support and promote scholarly and innovative research in order to advance the scientific and technological standing of the Islamic world.
Notably, the INN Network is an international platform for leveraging the power of science and technology to support inclusive empowerment. The Network strives to provide a dynamic platform for countries to achieve growth, progress, and a knowledge-based economy by fostering collaboration between elites, professors, researchers, universities, research institutes, and knowledge-based companies.
This international platform is one of the thirteen scientific networks affiliated with COMSTECH, and it is hosted by the MERC under the MSRT of Iran.
