INN–Sharif University Collaboration on Nanotechnology Training Programs

The Inter-Islamic Network on Nano-Technology (INN) and Samin Materials and Energy Technology Pioneers Company (Samin Co.)  have reached an agreement to cooperate in the field of educational programs.

According to the Public Relations, the planning and implementation of educational programs in “Nanotechnology, Energy, and Materials” including long-term courses, short-term specialized courses, training-of-trainers programs, summer schools, internships, skills training, and customized programs, will form part of this collaboration. These programs will be conducted in Islamic countries under the accreditation and certification of INN. Samin Co. has prior international experience in organizing such programs in countries including the Philippines and Ethiopia.

Another focus of the meeting was the framework for implementing bilateral cooperation. This mechanism was agreed upon during discussions between Dr. Ali Karimi Morid, Executive Strategic Deputy of INN, and Dr. Nikta Shahcheraghi, CEO of Samin Co., a knowledge-based company based in the Sharif Innovation District.

Notably, INN is an international platform for leveraging the power of science and technology to support inclusive empowerment. The Network strives to provide a dynamic platform for countries to achieve growth, progress, and a knowledge-based economy by fostering collaboration between elites, professors, researchers, universities, research institutes, and knowledge-based companies.

This international platform is one of the thirteen scientific networks affiliated with COMSTECH, and it is hosted by the MERC under the MSRT of Iran.
