About Us
At a Glance
The Inter-Islamic Network on Nano-Technology (INN) is an international platform for leveraging the power of science and technology to support inclusive empowerment. The Network strives to provide a dynamic platform for countries to achieve growth, progress, and a knowledge-based economy by fostering collaboration between elites, professors, researchers, universities, research institutes, and knowledge-based companies. The INN Network is one of the thirteen scholarly networks affiliated with COMSTECH, and it is hosted by the MERC under the MSRT of Iran.
History
Based on the fundamental approach of the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the proposal for establishing scholarly networks among Islamic countries in areas such as nanotechnology, virtual universities, and science and technology parks was put forward in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Accordingly, this proposal was endorsed through the adoption of Article 25 of the resolution at the 13th General Assembly of COMSTECH (April 2–3, 2008, Islamabad, Pakistan), gaining the acceptance of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation
