Proposal to Establish a Joint Nanotechnology and Biotechnology Research Institute with INN

The President of the University of Lahore (UOL), Pakistan, during a joint meeting with the Inter-Islamic Network on Nano-Technology (INN) and the Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council (INIC), proposed the establishment of a joint institute to conduct nanotechnology and biotechnology research between the two countries.

According to the Public Relations, the outcome of the discussions at this meeting, which was planned and organized by INN, included expanding collaborations, implementing joint research programs, publishing international articles, and organizing courses, workshops, and conferences.

The President and senior managers of UOL, also became acquainted with Iran’s nanotechnology capabilities and achievements during their visit to the exhibition and discussions with Iranian senior managers and experts at the event.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the UOL delegation expressed its interest in establishing a Nanotechnology Center at the University of Lahore and collaborating in the field of nanomedicine. The delegation also received an invitation to participate in Iran’s Nano 2024 Exhibition.

Notably, the INN Network is an international platform for leveraging the power of science and technology to support inclusive empowerment. The Network strives to provide a dynamic platform for countries to achieve growth, progress, and a knowledge-based economy by fostering collaboration between elites, professors, researchers, universities, research institutes, and knowledge-based companies.

This international platform is one of the thirteen scientific networks affiliated with COMSTECH, and it is hosted by the MERC under the MSRT of Iran.
