With the aim of expanding cooperation in science and technology, senior officials of INSTP visited INN and Iran’s MERC.
According to the Public Relations, the visit included discussions on collaboration among the COMSTECH Scientific Networks, particularly in nanotechnology, technology commercialization, establishing incubators, and education. The program also featured familiarization with the capabilities of INN and MERC, a tour of the permanent exhibition of technological achievements, the Innovation Factory, laboratories, pilot facilities, workshops, and the Green Building.
Dr. Alireza Khavandi, President of INN, stated, “The capabilities of MERC and INN can strengthen joint scientific and technological projects in Islamic countries.”
Dr. Ali Basti, President of INSTP, highlighted the network’s programs for empowering managers of incubators and science and technology parks in the Caspian Sea region and invited the directors of INN and MERC to visit INSTP.
Other topics covered during the visit included exploring opportunities for providing technology, tools, and training to industrial and knowledge-based companies, organizing workshops and conferences for industry, and collaboration in exhibition activities.
The event was attended by Dr. Alireza Khavandi, President of INN; Dr. Alireza Kalahy, Senior Advisor to the President of INN; Dr. Mahmoud Kazemzadeh, Head of the Secretariat of INN; Dr. Ali Basti, President of INSTP; and Dr. Mahmoud Saberimotlagh, Head of the Secretariat of INSTP.
Notably, the INN Network is an international platform for leveraging the power of science and technology to support inclusive empowerment. The Network strives to provide a dynamic platform for countries to achieve growth, progress, and a knowledge-based economy by fostering collaboration between elites, professors, researchers, universities, research institutes, and knowledge-based companies.
This international platform is one of the thirteen scientific networks affiliated with COMSTECH, and it is hosted by the MERC under the MSRT of Iran.
