The Journals Section of the Islamic World Nanotechnology Network (INN) has been established with the aim of developing scientific collaborations, enhancing the quality of nanotechnology research publications, and supporting scientific interactions among OIC member countries. This section provides a platform for introducing, synergizing, and supporting scientific journals active in the field of nanotechnology and related sciences. Acting as a specialized and intelligent hub, it goes beyond a simple database and has been designed as an “integrated management infrastructure” for scientific journals and events across the Islamic world. The main objective of this section is the intelligent connection of academic and research capacities to a vast scientific and technological network in the field of nanotechnology and advanced materials.

Key services of this section include:
Organization and intelligent management of journals: Providing technical infrastructure for managing the journal lifecycle (from manuscript submission to publication) with the aim of empowering semi-active journals and improving the quality of their scientific standards;

Intelligent connection and scientific networking: Utilizing intelligent algorithms to identify and introduce specialized editors-in-chief, editors, and top-level reviewers to member journals and conferences in order to accelerate and improve the accuracy of the peer-review process;

Comprehensive information database: Creating an intelligent and up-to-date database of all nano-specialized journals, conferences, and scientific achievements of member countries, facilitating researchers’ access to reliable resources;

Support for events and conferences: Providing specialized services for organizing scientific conferences, including abstract management, online peer review, and publication of proceedings in standard international formats;

Utilization of modern technologies: Using intelligent tools for content analysis, innovation assessment, article validation, and alignment with the needs of the nano and energy industries, ultimately leading to an increase in the impact factor and international standing of journals.

The Journals and Conferences Section, by creating an intelligent communication cycle, provides a platform through which journals and conferences move beyond isolation and become the main drivers for transforming research into technology and innovation in Islamic countries. This network serves as the connection point among editors, researchers, scientific centers, and industrial demands, utilizing digital tools to achieve accurate, rapid, and standardized knowledge management.

The macro objectives of the Journals and Conferences Section of the Islamic World Nanotechnology Network are based on creating scientific synergy and enhancing the research position of member countries. The most important of these objectives are:

  1. Enhancing scientific authority: Increasing the impact factor and international credibility of scientific journals in Islamic countries through process standardization and indexing in reputable global databases;
  2. Empowering and revitalizing semi-active journals: Providing software infrastructures and specialized consultations to return academic journals to the activity cycle and improve their scientific quality;
  3. Creating a peer-review and intelligent reviewing network: Establishing a wide network of specialized reviewers and editors in Islamic countries and utilizing intelligent algorithms for the optimal assignment of articles to relevant reviewers in order to increase the speed and accuracy of peer review;
  4. Facilitating the flow of knowledge between industry and academia: Guiding scientific articles toward solving real industrial challenges (especially in the fields of energy and advanced materials) and creating a bridge between published achievements and market needs;
  5. Integrating scientific information: Creating a comprehensive and intelligent database of journals, conferences, and articles to provide researchers with rapid access to primary resources and reduce repetitive research activities;
  6. Developing scientific diplomacy: Expanding interactions among research institutes and universities of Islamic countries through organizing joint conferences and creating a specialized dialogue environment among editors and scientific policymakers;
  7. Strengthening publication ethics and the culture of knowledge-based publishing: Encouraging researchers to publish articles whose outcomes have the potential to become products, patents, or entrepreneurial ideas in the field of nanotechnology;
  8. Supporting international indexing: These objectives collectively seek to transform the Islamic World Nanotechnology Network into a reference hub for nano knowledge publication so that, while strengthening internal infrastructures, the scientific voice of Islamic countries can be heard more strongly in global forums.

The missions of the Journals and Conferences Section of the Islamic World Nanotechnology Network define the operational roadmap of this section for achieving its macro objectives:

  1. Creating an integrated digital ecosystem: Implementing an intelligent journal management platform to standardize all stages of article review, acceptance, and publication across all member universities and research institutes of the network;
  2. Capacity building and standards enhancement: Providing specialized consultation, transferring journal management knowledge, and training editors-in-chief and review teams to achieve international standards (such as reputable global indexing systems) and improve the content quality of articles;
  3. Intelligent scientific networking: Establishing a dynamic and intelligent network of editors, reviewers, and leading specialists of the Islamic world to facilitate mutual collaborations, reviewer exchange, and synergy in organizing specialized conferences;
  4. Supporting the science-to-wealth transformation cycle: Directing the flow of scientific articles toward applied fields in the nano, energy, and advanced materials industries in such a way that research outcomes align with industrial needs and pave the way for commercialization of scientific findings;
  5. Intelligent management and dissemination of events: Designing and managing a comprehensive database of journals and conferences to provide accurate and timely information to the scientific community, prevent research fragmentation, and increase conference productivity;
  6. Facilitating and developing technology diplomacy: Creating joint structures for organizing regional and thematic international conferences in order to increase the scientific influence of the Islamic World Nanotechnology Network at the global level;
  7. Transparency and quality validation: Implementing intelligent systems for the validation of articles and journals to safeguard scientific ethics and enhance the credibility and trustworthiness of the network’s journals within the international scientific community.
